Quality assured Bracknell fun
A day out at The Bracknell Look Out Discovery Centre has been quality assured. The Look Out has been approved again by the national tourist board’s Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Service (VAQAS).
Assessor Fred Cubbage said in the recent Bracknell inspection: “The Look Out Discovery Centre offered the visitor an overall excellent quality experience.”
The assessor praised the cheerful and active staff who display excellent standards of customer care. He also noticed from his last visit the new exhibits in the exhibition and was impressed by the continuous improvement. He thought The Look Out was in a "neat, tidy and clean condition."
In addition to gaining the VAQAS award, The Look Out has also achieved the charter mark for good customer service and has been awarded five stars for the cleanliness of the toilets.
Cllr Iain McCracken, executive member for Bracknell culture, said: “It comes as no surprise that The Look Out has once again received this prestigious award. Everyone who has been to The Look Out knows that it has fantastic facilities for young and old alike. The hands-on science and nature exhibition particularly appeals to all ages. I am delighted at the outcome of the inspection. Well done to all our staff, they earned it and deserve this recognition.”
The Bracknell Look Out Discovery Centre is open from 10am - 5pm. The main attraction is the fantastic Hands-on Science and Nature Exhibition with more than 90 exhibits. Plus, there is a popular adventure play area, free car parking, gift and coffee shops. Based in 1,000 hectares of Crown Estate woodland, there is plenty of space for walks, cycling and orienteering.
