Arrest made after Bracknell drugs warrant
A 17-year-old man was arrested in Bracknell yesterday (5/3) when police carried out a drugs warrant at a house in Hanworth.
At 8.30am, Bracknell officers executed a warrant at an address in Prescott, off Hanworth Road. As police arrived at the property, they saw a package allegedly being thrown from a window into the back garden. The package was recovered by officers and found to contain what are believed to be Class A drugs.
Police also seized an air weapon, a handgun and ammunition from the property.
The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. He was released on bail until 18 April pending further inquiries.
Acting Inspector Charlie Winter of the Bracknell Forest neighbourhood policing team said: “We will not tolerate drug dealing in our community. Neighbourhood officers work with their colleagues in the Proactive Team and other specialist units to crack down on drug-related crime, wherever it takes place.”
