Bracknell Forest's secondary schools open their doors to future pupils
Bracknell Forest secondary schools are opening their doors over the next few weeks to show prospective pupils and their parents around.
Each secondary school in the borough will hold an open day or evening and some have separate information sessions just for parents where they can talk to the headteacher.
Year six pupils and their parents are encouraged to look round the schools in preparation for beginning their secondary education next year.
Tony Eccleston, Director of Bracknell Education and Education, said: "These days are the perfect opportunity for parents and pupils to look around Bracknell Forest's fantastic secondary schools.
"The open evenings are a chance to see the school in action, as if it were a normal school day.
"There will be science experiments, art work on display and lesson tasters. Current pupils and teachers will be on hand to answer any questions."
Alan Ward, Executive Member for Bracknell Education and Libraries, said: "The borough has a great variety of secondary schools and I urge year six pupils and their parents to take the opportunity to visit Bracknell Forest's schools.
"Every school is different but each has something special to offer pupils. All our schools currently have a great vibrancy and enthusiasm about them and I hope pupils and parents take the opportunity to have a look around them.
"I hope parents and pupils take the time to visit the borough's schools."
